My name is AR Hemant. I’m an online journalist based in New Delhi. This is my personal space on the web, bringing together my blogs since 2003 in one place. The opinions expressed here are purely personal, and do not necessarily reflect those of my employers.

I currently work for the India Today Group Digital in Noida. My previous assignments have been with NDTV Convergence in New Delhi, and with Hindustan Times in New Delhi and Mumbai. I was part of the team that successfully launched HT’s Mumbai edition in July 2005. I began as a print journalist with HT before moving on to the web. My beat has throughout been sports.

In 2007, I founded JobsMedia, a media careers blog, now managed by my wife Pragyan Mohanty.

I hold a post graduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi, where I’d studied English Journalism in 2004-5. Earlier, I’d obtained my bachelor’s degree from SM Patel Institute of Commerce, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad.
